Beet Smoothie Recipes

Smoothies are a quick and easy way to satisfy your craving for fruits and vegetables. Beets ’n’ Berries Smoothie


  • 1 cup berries; strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc. (frozen, if desired)
  • 1/2 cup bottled pomegranate juice
  • 2 Tbsp. flaxseed
  • 1/3-1/2 cup diced raw (or cooked) beets1/4-1/3 cup plain kefir (liquid yogurt), or coconut milk
  • 1-2 tsp. organic honey
  • 1 scoop of Berkeley Life Beetroot Powder
  • several ice cubes
  • fresh mint


Place all ingredients together in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve with a fresh mint leaf., and/or a strawberry, for garnish.


Sweet Beets ’n’ Kale Red Smoothie


  • 2 medium raw beets, peeled and chopped coarsely
  • 4-8 med. to large strawberries, rinsed, caps removed (freeze before use to help keep the smoothie cold)
  • juice of 1/2 orange
  • 2-3 leaves kale, rinsed thoroughly and torn into pieces
  • 1 medium apple, variety of your choice; rinsed and cored
  • fresh pineapple chunks, frozen (approx. 1/2 cup)
  • 1 scoop of Berkeley Life Beetroot Powder
  • 1/2 cup water (or ice cubes)


Add ingredients to blender. Blend on high until smooth. Serve immediately.



Mixed-Berry Red Anti-inflammatory Smoothie


Similar to the first smoothie, this version also features the powerful antioxidant/anti-inflammatory pigment power of powdered, dried turmeric root and natural ginger root.


  • 2 cups red berries & cherries (strawberries, raspberries, and pitted fresh cherries, if available); wash, trim and freeze before use
  • 1 small beet, peeled and chopped coarsely
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon or lime juice
  • 1 tsp. ground turmeric
  • 1 Tbsp. freshly grated peeled ginger root, including its juice
  • 1 Tbsp. honey or agave syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. organic virgin coconut oil, warmed to liquid, if necessary
  • 1 scoop of Berkeley Life Beetroot Powder
  • 1/2 cup water (or fresh orange juice)


Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add extra water, if needed, for consistency.
